But since the country became the world\u2019s second-largest film market in 2012, Hollywood\u2019s stars are paying it more attention, especially those promoting blockbuster superhero films loaded with 3-D and special effects .\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/chinarealtime\/2013\/04\/08\/robert-downey-jr-medias-version-of-china-doesnt-match-view-on-the-ground\/\" data-ls-seen=\"1\">Robert Downey Jr.<\/a>\u00a0visited Beijing to promote \u201cIron Man 3\u201d last spring, and Tom Hiddleston stopped by in October ahead of the release of \u201cThor: The Dark World.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though it\u2019s hard to say for certain whether the stars\u2019 appearances make a difference, the trips do seem to be helping. \u201cIron Man 3\u201d was China\u2019s second highest-grossing film last year, raking in 755.2 million yuan ($121.6 million), while China was \u201cThor\u2019s\u201d top overseas market, bringing in $55.3 million, according to Box Office Mojo.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>We help you find and contact book\u00a0<a title=\"Actors\" href=\"https:\/\/ft-agency.com\/wordpress\/actors\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Foreign Actors<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in China and Foreign Models in China<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHollywood pays attention to where business is growing,\u201d said Matthew Tolmach, co-producer of \u201cThe Amazing Spider-Man 2\u201d and former production chief at Columbia Pictures. \u201cIt is a big market and there\u2019s a lot money to be made with a Chinese release.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also said it\u2019s important for stars to come and interact with their Chinese fans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe value of coming to a territory and sitting with people who actually work and live there is actually about showing respect,\u201d he said. \u201cWe don\u2019t just assume that people in China are going to come to the movie. Speculation spread rapidly online that concerns over scenes featuring nudity might have been the culprit.
